Reformatted USB stick to get pictures of Rasp Pi and took another of me without glasses this morning.

Got camera hooked up to an Arduino Uno and could read its registers. Next to connect to Raspberry Pi to get an image.

Hooked camera to Raspberry Pi and got it to take a few pictures next to get them off the machine!

The goal of the project is to capture images of fields around Belcarra, Mayo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belcarra,_County_Mayo) in the evening after a hot day to see if any buried stonework appears indicating where Belcarra Castle was.

I first heard of the castle in Anne Chamber's excellent book Chieftain to Knight (http://www.amazon.com/Chieftain-Knight-Tibbott-1567-1629-Viscount/dp/0863270085)

I intend to have it store and forward images (using Bluetooth/Wifi) keeping the total size of the unit to a minimum so it can be mounted on kites, drones, etc.
